2002 xtra cab 3.4 auto. Will the control valve have anything to do with a wet floor. Have run wire up into the drain under hood and blown air in as well. Am I looking at new HC? Coolant level is good, AC working good. The carpet has a white chalky substance on it. Never seen that part before. Have not noticed the heated smell of coolant. I live in east central BAMA. Humidity........ is the norm here. I mean HUMIDITY. Thanks folks for any help.

There's a drain from the evaporator box that drains out into the engine bay. Sounds exactly like your drain is clogged.

Look for it on the firewall along the passenger side. Gently stick a coat hanger in there to dislodge all the debris. You should see a lot of water come out (about a cup or two).

What's happening is your evap box can no longer drain the water it collects from condensation. So the evap box is full which makes water drip out the box, rather than drain. When the water drips out the box it drains out to your floor pan.

Here's the drain in the engine bay:

Here's where it goes through your firewall from the evap box:

My mom's 03 was leaking all over the right hand side she delivers mail and was getting wet. Blew out the drain but she hadn't been using the ac because of the leak. It worked for a while. Then it clogged again I told her to make sure to use her ac so it would be full of water I blew compressed air in there for a while and it drained black water for a good long while. It's been a while since I did it I figure this time I got it. Probably had a dirt dobber nest in the drain or something from sitting

Mine was full of leaf debris that probably entered in through the cowl.
