I am expecting delivery of my new Tacoma next week.

Having never had a new vehicle of any kind before, I was wondering if the new Tacoma will come with a wax finish on the paint or if I should do a wax job as soon as I get it?

From my understanding, the ToyotaCare package includes an applied coat of sealant. I would recommend a wash and wax upon receipt.

Wash clay bar and wax. No need to polish due to no swirls. Collonites, liquid glass, or just plain old carnauba are all good. I also use the wizards mist with a micro fiber after drying it. I'm also a big time clay bar guy. Plexus goes on the head lights and tail lights to prevent the fogging. I am pretty anal, but my taco will give me 10yrs and 150k. I usually have my vehicles sold before I buy a new one ;)

if it was fresh out of the paint booth, I'd give it at least a month- but given your truck was probably built a few months ago, I'm sure it will be fine

You can wax right away. I waxed mine the day after I took delivery. When they come from the factory they are good to go

Truck was competed mid-May. It's been under way since.
