Cabover Camper Questions

Hi

I've got an '06 access cab with standard size bed. Been looking for a used cabover camper. Finding a fair amount on craigslist and other sites from different makes and brands.

But seems like there are only a few models out there that are built specifically for smaller trucks and they are harder to find and more expensive.

But some of the dimensions listed on the cabover campers that claim they are for larger beds seem like they would fit my six foot bed if I put the bed down.

Anyone have any intel, guidelines or suggestions on getting the right cabover camper?

 

I have no practical advice as I don't have a camper...but..

Why not go to your local RV/Camper store. Tell them what you are looking for, see what they have available, get all the technical details you can from them on the model they are recommending. Now, after you have information on what dimensions/weights fit your truck, apply that knowledge to your search.

I've seen a few advertised as "lite" that fit in the beds of ranger, s10s, and tacomas. I can't remember the exact models. I'd love to have one.
