Anyone having a terrible experience with this frame recall? Jones Junction in Maryland has had my truck for 6 months now. I didn't even get an update from them until 4 months had passed with no response to any calls or emails from me. I registered a formal complaint with Toyota and that boiled down to "We've done all we can do, you'll just have to wait". They would not even entertain a buy-back or trade. So this led me to register a complaint with BBB against Jones to see if I could force a buy-back from them.

I love my Taco, but this experience is making me think twice about Toyota as a whole. Ridiculous frame construction, no quality control, and ridiculous wait time to get the frame replaced.
Thanks guys, just needed to vent.

Have you been driving a loaner truck?
Reading some of the older frame recall threads, some taco owners were able to keep driving the "not safe to drive" truck. Have also read that there are no buyouts. The dealer has no idea when the frames ship to them.

I got approved for a frame in Oct '14, but was not told the dealer had to keep it. Just got new frame last week and still figuring out how the ride is. Had some other work done at my expense, but the labor was free on what they would have to put back together anyway.

The dealer was able to get me a new Ford F150 through Enterprise but I had to pay for collision/ damage insurance (if I wanted it). I took the extra insurance for $14/day since I used the truck for work and the rental was brand spanking new.

In a more recent post someone is saying that frame replacements are being denied by Toyota after the dealer approves them. So at least yours is in the pipeline!

Thanks catskill20. Still fighting to get my truck fixed. Just tired of the poor customer service both from Toyota and the dealer. I got a tiny Jeep Compass for a loaner, but that doesn't help with the projects I need my truck for. Lol.
