I have a 2011 Tacoma, it only has 36,000 miles on it. I noticed the other day that my paint had tiny little spider cracks all over the hood and the roof. I took it to a body shop and they said it was coming from the bottom up, not the top, and should be covered by warranty because it's a bad paint job. Toyota said its not covered, so I'm fighting with them to fix it. Has anyone ever experienced this before?

He posted (first post) in the other paint thread.

So not really a new thread.. more like a 75%er.

Also, there is zero chance you'll see anything from Toyota on 5 year old truck. Spring for correction, or live with it. Otherwise you're SOL.

First month of ownership... This month I'm removing front air dam, and also Rhino lining the bed.
Sort of... The clearcoat on my hood and DS front quarter panel was peeling off, quite literally in sheets and just happened overnight. I saw the dealer who said it wasn't covered. This is an 07 and the incident happened in 14. Anyway, I threatened to sue (which is no idle threat BTW) and the dealer got it all repainted under "customer satisfaction". No a warranty repair so that is that.

Very surprised you were able to pull that off, but hey, good for you.

Weathertech floor liners moded to hold OEM floor mats, weathertech vent visors, Toyota bed mat, LEER 100XL cap, hood gasket mod to stop whistling.
What color is your truck? I had this happen on my 1990 GM van back in 1992 and GM repainted it. My super white 06 Tacoma went all flat white and I paid to repaint it.
