Do I need to install new longer shocks for a 2" add a leaf or will the stock shocks work fine if I'm not offroading much at all?

Should be fine if you're a street pounder.

I mean, fishing spots, hunting spots. But no actual offroading trips for my brand new truck. So still ok?

Should be. I'm at a similar lift with similar uses and was told by 3 vendors my OEM shocks would be okay with limited off-road. I bought 5100s anyway, but that's what I was told.

2 inches of lift is fine for stock shocks.

I would lean toward the other side of this debate. I have 2" AALs and went with the 5100's. You never know when you might accidently find yourself in a situation where you exceed the limits of the stock shocks. However, try it if you want. If you tear up a shock, then buy replacements. If you don't, run them until you do.

Just a quick update... Installed the AAL's tonight. Went with the wheelers 2" long leaf. Kind of a pain installing them but not too bad. I removed the 1" blocks I had on and replaced with AAL. Front is lifted roughly 3". I ended up keeping the stock shocks for now. The truck sits much better now. Perfectly level and the ride is 10 X's better than the blocks. I still have the take off shutter but the 45-60 mph vib is completely gone. I credit this to the fact the axel is actually only about 1/2" lower than stock in reference to the leaf pack so the axel has less leverage. Gonna play with dropping the carrier bearing tomorrow 1/8" at a time and find the sweet spot for the minimum take off shutter.
