That's what the combustion chamber is for. You know they just placed that in place to appease federal emissions. Apparently the government hasn't a clue about what they are doing, but that's nothing new is it. Lmao.

What octane gas is required if you add a TRD Supercharger?

Well fellas, don't know if this is bullshit.....I'll let you decide!!!! I'm going with this that its true only because I like to think so however, I don't know/can't confirm it.

So.....I just got a call from my dealership that is installing my s/c. He initially told me when I left my deposit last week the unit would not be hard to track down and that it would be the fit kit that would be the hard part. My voice mail I just received stated after looking for everything and speaking to his supplier in Cali., I will be receiving the last s/c in the U.S. coming from New York.
Now I don't know if he meant I'll be getting the last fit kit or indeed the last s/c unit. Or he was just bullshitting me. He did say it would be a week or 2 to track it all down and it's been a week and a half.

Yea I'm gonna call BS, wait for the sudden price jump because "they had to pay the NY dealer extra to get it here"

I covered that....in terms of what he quoted me is what I'm paying....he said if it is anything more than what he quoted he'll eat the difference.

Crappy gen 2 intake. I use to have gen 2 intake when I had a supercharger on my 2011 and bought a Volant gen1 style intake make a world of difference. Ditch that intake find a Volant and put a TRD cover on it and wont ever tell its a Volant even though they are same product just badged different

You mean the one that pins down over the top of the radiator? It seriously made that big of a difference in power gains?

Well gentlemen, I just got mine back......supercharged. way too much traffic to even remotely open it up. However the one time I was able to get on it a little I did indeed noticed a difference.....and it sounds sweet. We stopped for a bite and when we get outta here the traffic where I'm at is gonna be down right horrible!!!! When I get closer to home I should be able to see what it has to really offer me.....I'll keep you all informed.:mudding:

Well tomorrow will be a week that I've had the supercharger. I love it. The difference to me is night and day. Its no Ferrari but to me at least it drastically increased acceleration power. I understand everyone has their own opinion as to how different it feels, worth it/not worth it and so on. I'm glad i got mine for sure. Paired with the manual trans and quick shifter, it makes my truck an absolute pleasure to drive. It also still needs to get used to the reflash so the benefits at some point should become even greater.

Yup, it's quite a bit more HP, not a ton but I'll take 27% increase any day. Me likes my SC. Had now for 8 months.

How do you manual guys like it? Im on the fence of auto or manual. Mostly because of how it is offroad. But if i do get a manual, ill get the URD Throw out bearing upgrade and a hurst core shifter

I personally like it.....I read a few threads of people complaining about how bad the trans is but I can say I have not had any problems. I grew up driving manuals and always liked driving them so for me I have zero complaints. Adding the quick shifter made it a lot nicer for sure.
