Is anyone running air ride suspension? If so how do you like it and what range of travel? Does it work for offroading?

I'll post, since you aren't getting any love.

I have Firestone RideRite air bags, not Air Ride. Close enough. I love them.

I do a fair bit of light offroading and lots of shitty dirt road driving. The quick rebound of the inflated bags rapidly ate my rear stock shocks. I replaced them with OME N182 shocks and am very happy with the ride on and off road.

Inflated air bags will limit the up travel of your suspension and give a firm rebound on harder hits - and will bounce pretty bad when your shocks are dead.

I installed air bags because I wasn't lifted at the time and just needed to get rid of the sag while towing and hauling. When I put in 5100s at 1.75 (actual lift = 2.5), I just filled the bags to 35 to keep factory rake - ride wasn't bad for a few thousand miles. I figured I'd add the Emu shocks because eventually I'd add Dakars. Well, my dirty little secret is that I'm in no hurry to do rear leafs - I'm still happy enough with the ride as is. Rear springs are pretty far down my list of intended mods now.

Are you asking about bagged (slammed/stanced) trucks?

Or air bags for auxiliary cargo capacity?

I'm actually talking about airbag systems to lift your truck. I know kelderman makes a system for ford, chevy and I think dodge but I haven't been able to find any setups for the tacoma. I would assume it would help with suspension travel for off roading, firming up the suspension when towing and probably enhance overall ride quality. Not to mention most people don't have it so it would be cool amd unique.

Yes I have seen these setups but I want something a little more dramatic that might give about 6 inches of lift. Thanks for the reply though.

If you want a 6 inch lift, you have to do a drop bracket. The IFS won't handle over 3.

The good news is that it won't eff up your cv angles and you are less likely to have needle bearing issues. I've got a buddy on a 6 inch db and 35s. Looks great.
