2015 Jump Start Program

Just got a letter in the mail from my local Bob Tyler Toyota dealership with an offer for trading in my 2009 for a 2015, that I may have to look into...

The letter states "our dealership wants to contact possible toyota owners with news of our special offers. Attached you will find a signed, full trade-in offer for a 2008-2010 Toyota Tacoma or something similar based on its current value.

To show our commitment to earning your buisness, I have also attached three, very aggressive signed offers for you to consider."

The four signed offers:

$21,505 Trade in offer
$1,000 Trade assistance
$1,000 Off any used vehicle
$5,000 Off MSRP

Offers cam not be combined.


Anyone seen anything like this?

 

Sounds like a hoax if you ask me. Of course they want your trade. Used vehicles are where a dealer makes the most money. My buddy sells cars and tells me all about it.

 

Take the $5000 off MSRP and sell your truck outright.

 

Every new vehicle I've ever bought has been followed by a come-on like that. I did one time respond by driving down to the dealership with my then 2 year old E Class Mercedes. The actual offer was no where near the come-on. Don't waste your time.

 

That's what I figured, it states it is adjustable for milage and such, so I fully expected it to be no where near 21k.

The 4k off MSRP would be the only offer I would use, but, I am being medically retired from the Air Force, so until I find ish my degree and get settled in a new career path, I am not in the market for a new rig.

 

It's bullshit. Someone asks every 3 months about these.

 

Really? I searched but couldn't find anything on it.

First Tacoma for me, and first time I have actually had to interact with a dealership for warranty and recall stuff, so I'm stuck on their mailing list now.

 

Expect one annually.

 

Wonderful. I thought it was for my leaf springs and got excited haha

 

I get them all the time. Not only from the dealer where I bought the truck but from two dealers where I have bought parts.
