Hey I'm new here and I just bought my first taco. Sold an old jetta to buy an old Tacoma.

It's a 1996 4wd xtracab and it has plenty of cosmetic flaws (not a big deal to me). I bought it because the guy had a lot of work done on it, new tires, new brake pads, new clutch, serviced the headers?, cold air intake.

Now the bad, it needs new seats and the ac condenser broke from its mounts which disconnected a line. The ac is priority 1 because its hot as balls here.

Does anyone know what this part is called that goes into the condenser? I know I need a new condenser but this part is also going to need to be replaced.

    Thanks in advanceuploadfromtaptalk1434504107161.jpguploadfromtaptalk1434504152385.jpguploadfromtaptalk1434504194168.jpg

I circled the part in these pics. It plugs into the condenser on the right side as you're looking at it from in front of the truck. uploadfromtaptalk1434504558143.jpguploadfromtaptalk1434504568850.jpg

From the size I would say it is the "high pressure line running back to the firewall. You should be able to get a new one from the dealer or check Murray or Four Seasons for aftermarket and of course salvages can be an option. If you go "used" be sure to take some penetrating oil with you to help get the fitting loose.

I figured it out man thanks. The line from the receiver had snapped off inside the condenser so I ended up getting a new line, receiver, and condenser. Hopefully getting the ac vacuumed and charged on Monday.
