So I bought the 5100 with 885x ome springs. Paid for the shop to install coils onto the shocks because I didnt want to deal with a spring compressor etc. My question is, if you paid to have them assembled, don't you have to remove the 3 nuts and the shock nut to get everything installed? So in unbolting all nuts, doesn't the coil come off after removing said nuts? So why would i pay to have it all assembled if you have to take the nuts off to do the install? Hope this makes sense.

you dont have to remove the "shock nut" to remove the assembly. the "shock nut" holds the plate that holds the coil spring in

Ok, so removing the assembly I can see, but for the install, don't you have to remove this "shock nut" so you can get it up thru the center hole and then reassemble the rubber washer, washer then the nut?

no, it all fits in there assembled, its just the 3 nuts that hold it in. you would only have to remove the "shock nut" when you need to take the assembly apart to replace the spring or shock individually, thats where the spring compressor comes in
