Do you see any issues with using Collinite 845 over wizards supreme seal? The Wizards is labeled "super acrylic gloss" and as "creating a high gloss acrylic finish" (are all sealers acrylic???).

I'm pretty sure the Collinite has a petroleum based component (it sure smells like it). Yup- I just checked- and it says "contains petroleum distillates". Can this go down over an acrylic?

I'll come back with photos and a review if I end up doing this.

So far I've added an Advance folding bed cover and since removed it. Gave it to my son in Maine, he has an 05 2wd. GT perfect fit seat covers. Weathertech floor mats and window vent visors. Waag center brush/grill guard. Hose clamp tailgate mod. Turned off the seat belt chime. Added Ultra-Gauge. Trailer hitch. Softopper. Replaced sun visors with slide out style. Toyota bed extender. Had Firestone Destinations and now Michelin LTX AT2 in stock size. More mods to come; Fog lights, locking storage in bed, intermittent wipers. Now looking for Radio/HU upgrade. and maybe a lift way down the road.
I've used Collinite for many years as well. Been very happy with it. When I run out, probably not soon, I will look into something esle but probably stick with Collinite or something similar.

No, most of the new sealers are polymer based. Acrylic has been around for a long time. is an acrylic polish/sealant that came out in the late 70's & is still popular today. They both perform very well. Polymer based sealants tend to be more user friendly as they are easier to remove when buffing, IMO. As far as Collinite over Wizards you should be fine!

Well, I passed on the wizards. Ended up going with meguires synthetic sealant 2.0 #21 and I couldn't be happier. I'm completely blown away. Being a 2014 and being cautious with past washes, there wasn't a lot of swirls in the paint. But whatever was there is GONE. I even had one long 2 foot scratch on the hood that was from a piece of grit in a towel several washes back... Thought it would take a buffer to get it out. Nope. It was mostly gone after the first coat of sealer. Completely gone after the second coat. All of the scratches under the door handles- gone. Seriously, this stuff is amazing. And now I know what people are talking about when they say sealers give a "candy" coat appearance. This thing looks like a tootsie pop now. But in a good way. The second coat definitely added to the first, for those wondering about layering. I can't wait to get a coat of Collinite on top! Think I'm going to let it sit for a week before applying the wax. Thanks fir your advice, guys.

I snapped some pics but bad lighting today- pics didn't do it justice. capturing a finish in photos is tough. I'll try again tomorrow. also plan to take before/after collinite pics.

Well, I just went out and snapped a few more. Keep in mind this is pre-Collinite. Already looks better than it did new.

Looks great! Yeah, those "shine" shots are tough. I find early morning & late afternoon are the best.
