I have "907 Alaska Grown Redhead" tattooed on my back. I'm Alaska Native, Iñupiaq eskimo to be exact, and I have red hair. I ended up with all recessive traits from mom and dad. I don't look anything like my parents unless you look really close.

If you question my nativeness look up World Eskimo-Indian Olympics. You'll see me competing. My mom is even a record holder. :)

    Great names :)

LOL Enjoyed reading some of these. Mine is a bit convoluted and difficult to give people the gist of how it came about.

My buddy and I sometime between 7yo and 15yo had this ongoing joke about the White Rabbit from Monty Python & the Holy Grail. We used to talk about what creatures could kill the rabbit. Well, having several cats we always joked about all the traits of our cats and how tough they were, etc. Eventually we decided the cats were somehow special and instead of being Kitties they were Kyitties [Key-yit-tees]. Eventually we just called them a "Kyitty" [key-yitty].

So my truck is white, like the rabbit from Monty Python, so I guess it's Kyitty (i.e. bad a$$).

This was back when internet made noise and it took a day to download a photograph, Windows was only version 3.1, and everything came on a 3.5" disk (or ten). I used to use "Kyitty" as a screen name back then. I find it amusing now days because everyone assumes I'm a woman because they just think my name is "kitty". And it's fun trying to explain to people on voice chat how exactly I pronounce "Kyitty". Hysterical hearing people try to say it properly.

So I'm a dude. Just to be clear.

In HS I was one of those auto/metal shop junkies, that's where I hung out. One semester when I was a senior ('02-'03), our shop teacher, an old school gear head, drag racer type, didn't want to learn all the new kids names. There were only a few of us left that he knew on a first name basis. So he decided to call everyone "Fred". We were listening to Limp Bizkit building an engine, and the teach came up and said, "What's this sh!t you're listening to?" I told him the lead singer's name is Fred Durst, out of coincidence with his obsession for calling everyone "Fred" and the lead singer's name. He stared at me and yelled "Fred Durst!". He started calling me that from then on, and so did everyone else. It was either "Durst" or "Fred Durst".
Fast fwd a few years and I was putting up fence around a buddy's property. I was tasked with chopping down trees, bushes and limbing trees with a chain saw. When I would get the tree or branch down, I would cut it into smaller pieces. Well I kept running the bar into the dirt (It was my buddy's saw). He got super pissed and yelled, "You're not Fred Durst, you're Fred Dirt!"
It ended up sticking even more so than the Fred Durst, or Durst, name. There were a lot of people who only knew me as "Fred" or "Fred Dirt", and didn't know my real name. Plus is suited me well due to my hobbies... Offroad stuff. When I go back to visit, I still get called "Fred" or "Fred Dirt". Has stuck to this day... So I use it for most of my screen names.
