12TRDTacoma's Supercharged M/T "Accidental" build

I'm thinking a pan of boiling water for the pulley, and I'll buy a couple cans of compressed air and we freeze the shit out of the nose and then dump the water out super quick and slam the pulley in to place. I had to do this with some press fit bearings once and it worked pretty well, throw the outer piece in an oven at about 300 and put the inner sleeve in a bucket of ice. Still had to press them together, but it was more like pressing butter than using insane lbs of pressure to get it to go in.

 

Damn dude. One pulley removal, install, de install, and re install of the stock one after a 4 hour grinding session just to remove the bad one was bad enough. I don't think I want to do it again.

yea I've met a couple guys with custom uppers and lowers and duals that can usually keep up with Lt guys. Mostly because you MT guys tune the shit out of your shocks while most LT guys just throw shocks and bumps and on think its Go-fast time.

 

Have you considered a Pelfreybilt rear kit? Should be able to pull a good 12" of travel or so

Edit: nvm i thought you were running AP springs for some reason. I was gonna suggest custom deavers and shocks.

The thing is that with MT, you are basically forced to tune and valve them to a spec you like because otherwise it means the difference between failing and romping out in the offroad terrain. LT guys get the longer stroke ao they have more leeway to to work with. So they can get away with more.

If we supply you with the supercharger, fire, ice, and beer then hell yeah we'll record you all trashed and failing.

He's right you know. You shouldn't be drinking while you work on essential shit like that. Its a recipe for disaster. I threw back a whopping total of three yesterday then called it quits and began concentration time.

Yea true, I just know alot of guys that bolt in an 8" and a bump and just use the stock valving and usually its pretty close to good, but not perfect. I opted for coilovers and triple bypass for perfect tuning. If I'm hitting hard enough to blast through my valving then I'm way in over my head lol

Yea, like I said, I usually have about 3-4 water bottlers scattered around the garage while I'm working and maybe have 1-2 beers casually. I switch to whiskey when I'm really drinking

 

A) I'll be working on MY supercharger as he doesn't want to install his pulley
B) i don't own a torch or welder yet, which is probably good at this point
4) I'm not good at math and letters

 

question about your fuel pump issue. before your stock fuel pump failed did you have any spark knocking with 87 gas

 

Yes and it was present after as well, even with the more capable pump. The problem is and was tune related from Toyota but the prblem should no longer be present after the tune tomorrow.

Supercharger is fully in and functional. This thing rocks. The only thing I'm upset about is the fact that I didn't do this sooner. Powerband is everywhere now, and I'm totally in love that whine. I'm lovin' it like McDonald's. Hahaha. As for the cost do I regret it, no way! If you guys want some videos, I can provide on request.
