Not sure how much snow and salty roads your truck sees, but that can be really hard on an adjustable coil over setup like icons. I've seen this on a few cars and trucks where the threaded collar and shock body freeze together. Yuck!

^^^ that, very true, OME would be ideal for those locations.

Needed a better way to haul my bike as my rear bumper prevented me from lowering the tailgate. I didn't feel like the existing bumper/frame would handle the bike weight on a hitch mounted carrier so I had a local fab place (Crawl2Run Fab ) box my rear frame and build a custom hitch mount setup. Works great!

A few updates since my last post, new skids from Crawl2Run Fabrication and some new TRED's mounted on my roofrack. Also had a few tabs welded on the front hoop for a 19" lightbar. I'm also int he process of replacing EVERY lightbulb on my truck with LED's. So sick of burnt out bulbs, bad ballasts and yellowish tint to lights.

Lightbar mounted with 1.75 inch shock tabs welded and ground down to front hoop.

Fabbing up mounts for the TREDS. Used some 4" clevis pins and some steel plate, holes drilled in plates, drop clevis through and welded on back, ground down and painted. Experimented with the idea of a pin to hold clevis on plate but lost too much space, would have worked with a 4.5" pin but my garage at work would not have. Also drilled out one pin for each set to fit a padlock just so my TREDs don't walk off.

Clever idea for the TRED mounting, I may hafta try that idea. This worked for me in a pinch on my homemade RTT bedrack:
    20150607_110838_zpsz1ockdc4_6dfca52cf4eb6208d8a42be3c9d501e301422a92.jpg

I got lucky and the spacing was the same as my Tepui and my Hi-lift. Just a couple 9/16" bolts & nuts hold them on with no movement. I don't lock them up as the nuts are perdy snug ;) I just use some 7/8" wrenches from my toolkit to remove them. Your idea is alot more quickly accessible tho.

    Very nice build btw
