i'm proud new owner of a 2015 Tacoma TRD Sport
First order of business is covering the bed but I'm having trouble deciding on a tonneau.
I'm looking for a roll up cover under $500
I've used Extang in the past but I'll consider other brands
Seems like most say they clamp under the bed rails which I don't think will work, is this correct?
I've seen an install video for the Extang Revolution that uses the tie down rails but the instruction from Extang show under bed rail clamps. Just not sure which to believe.
What other option do I have?

I just bought a soft tri-fold cover for my long bed for less than $300...very nice. Install was simple and fits perfectly.

I went with the Extang Solid Fold which clamps under the rail

I love mine. Vendor on here sells them for $387 or so.

I also have had the Truxedo Lo Pro for a few years and have had no issues with it. It keeps things dry, looks good, and doesn't interfere with your storage options.

Just about anything you can carry without a bed cover you can still carry with the Truxedo. You still have access to the rails, although it's a bit less convenient than without the cover.

I don't really get the appeal of the trifold option but those seem popular as well.

Regarding Truxedo and why I chose it. I had one on my GMC and after 5 years some of the stitching was wearing off. In all honesty I could of lived with it but I called them and they sent me out s brand new one. Customer service is number 1 with me

I have had 3 access roll up covers on my last 3 trucks. Great covers with quality material and hell for stout velcro on the rails. I also had a truxedo low profile, which was also a great cover.

This is what I put on and am very happy with it - got it from the vendor on here and they were great to deal with. I didn't bother with the tailgate seals. If I had known about the soft topper I probably would have gone that route since it looks like it can fold down and out of the way and gives more "dry" storage.

The bed extender works fine with it and I added 2 more of those sliding tie downs to the front rail and they are accessible. If you have the cargo divider you need to trim ~1" off each side of it to make it work.
