She's got a saggy rear end

    I think your best bet is air bags for sure if you care at all about ride quality. I don't see how they can set up leafs that can not sag at all with 1000lbs in the bed, they would have to be unbelievably stiff. For reference I have All Pro - Expo leafs which are designed to have 500lbs in the bed all of the time to ride at 3" of lift. I rarely have anything in the bed, and the ride is stiff to say the least.

    Here it is with around 1000 lbs in the bed, it was sagging about 2 inches or so.

    (Truth be told, I wanted it because I wanted it!)

    If your oem pack hasn't frowned yet, try some hellwig helper springs. It's a fairly cheap option. They help your leafs accommodate more weight. Yes they work too. I've had a shell on my 13 pretty much from day one and the springs haven't sagged at all.
