After buggering up the end of my barrel trying to get a fused crush washer off, I finally have my AR back together and ready to rock. This time, I'm sporting the new Bird of Prey compensator. It was given to me by the manufacturer to test. So far all I can comment on is the looks as I have not had any range time with it yet. At the end of my 20" heavy barrel it may be a little overkill, but it definitely gives a unique look. I'll post back once I sight in the optics and try some fast tactical walk firing.

Came pre labeled, but label can pull right off if you want to relabel.

Comes with four boxes for rounds, count depends on whichever caliber you choose, my .308 boxes hold 100 rounds each. Four boxes fit in the box with room for a small box or two of rounds.

Nice gasket keeps it sealed tight and water stays out, which I accidently tested when a monsoon style rain storm hit the range.

Enough room for whatever you want if you don't use the small boxes

Picture of rounds for shits and giggles.

Easy to carry, and each of the four small boxes came with 16 labels

I saw a prototype of that compensator. Why didn't they finish-grind it after it was assembled? The layers of triangles don't even match up on the edges & corners. Quality.

I see one of the guys who makes this every few months or so. I'll let him know that's a criticism.

hmm, that one does look pretty nice. I may have to try it. A lot of guys like 50 cal steel ammo cans. I'm not a huge fan. Every try carrying one with a 1000 rounds of 7.62x39 in it very far (or fast)? Not a good time. Because of that, I have tended to stick with the 30 cal ones for most uses. I've been intrigued by the plastic cans though so I may have to give them a try. Thanks for the pics!! :)

If we made a place in your profile to enter what guns you had, and that info only appears in your posts here in the guns & hunting section, would you guys be interested in that? I look through these posts and only see your truck info, but it would be of more interest to see what guns a poster has...

on to many government "lists" to care at this point. Former Marine: check. Conservative: check. Believes in the Constitution: check. Been buying guns/ammo forever: check. NFA owner: check. At this point they know 'enough' even if they don't know know 100% for sure exactly what I own right at this moment.
