Just wanted to introduce myself and ask a question that I'm sure has to have been asked already, but I can't find it. I have a brand new 15 Tacoma 4x4 Access Cab. I also just bought a brand new Quad with a winch installed. I asked the dealership this question today and they said that those hooks are fine and that's what they are there for. I asked them if I could use those front Cargo hooks as winch points for my 615 pound ATV. I'm not sure if I trust their answer and I don't want to damage my truck or ATV. The truck has 800 miles on it.

Any input from you guys would be appreciated

    Thanks
    Tom.

I think you better not listen to that salesman.

You can use them to tie down the quad, but they are not strong enough for a winch anchor.

They work fine for holding down the quad. If they pull out while holding the quad, then you problems most likely started sooner. You had an accident and the quad won't be on your mind at that point.
