I just bought a 2011 2wd 2.7 Tacoma Automatic. I couldn't find anything about checking the transmission fluid in the manual. Is there anything specific with the Tacomas? Or just standard procedure, check it while its warm and idling?
I couldn't find anything about the air filter either, what is Toyota's recommended interval? I realize this may vary with conditions. Anything specific to consider when changing this?
When I had the truck checked by my mechanic, he explained the diff breather Toyota uses and explained they could be problematic if the small cap on top gets clogged. His advice was to regularly crawl under there and make sure it continues to move freely, up/down and turns. Does this sound adequate? Thanks!
