Traded the 2015 TRD Pro 6spd Supercharged on a PowerWagon and could not be happier. My 2011 Tacoma with the TX Baja package (Added by me) is still treating me great. My 1985 Toyota never skips a beat.
Ok so here is the 3/4 isolators I installed in my pro yesterday. They replace the little rubber seat in the bucket in the top directly on top of the spring.

As you can see the bucket still is in the OEM location so unlike a top plate spacer your not going to bottom out the shock.

I am very pleased with them in both my previous baja setup and now in my pro. The pro rides exactly how I want now. The nose dive is not nearly as bad when braking!

Sorry for the dirt I was playing. .20150701_213031.jpg

I have a little better understanding now. Thank you for the explanation.

Looks like KROG beat me to to it. As far as the difference between the spring seats and the top spacer, I would like to know the answer to that as well.

And there you have it - you guys are quick.

    Haha, :)

so 3/4 isolator replacement/spacer and replacement bottom seat/spacer should not have any different effect aside from looks between the same too. They both do the same thing on the opposite end of a linear spring. :)

not to be confused with a top plate spacer.

You had a Baja before? What inspired the switch? And it sounds like the spring rates are actually different then?

I have the Baja suspension and love how the truck handles on the street and on faster sections of dirt with more transitional dips and humps. It is a little rough going slower and on sharper hits.

The brake dive with the stock off road suspension was horrible.

I had a 2013 OR 4x4 6spd, I added the TRD Baja suspension. It was an Access cab, I really liked that truck.

The only reason i switched was I had a new Baby and with 2 kids, the Access was too small. So i decided to get the one I really wanted. 2015 DCSB TRD PRO Inferno 6spd.

The front is deffinately a little softer in the PRO than the Baja, I also installed the Baja kit on my mothers DCSB Sport. I drove hers, and my PRO back to back playing a little and camping and the Baja stands a smidge taller in the front.

Lose the sway bar, it will make a HUGE difference with the slow stuff. If you don't like it its super easy to throw back on! But drive it around and give it a chance. :)

Stock for stock, i like the Baja suspension better. Both have shitty rear springs, and the components are 99% the same. The only differences are the lower seat is prettier on the PRO (who cares) and the rear shocks lines are covered in rubber on the PRO, and the springs are softer in the front. I dont know how much but it can't be too much. A total guess at this point is 650lb/in in the Baja and 600/in in the PRO. They could have played with the valving to make it seem more or less different too. But given that its shorter with the same size components I would bet its also softer.

Got it. Thanks, I didn't even know about the isolators until your post. Do you know if the bottom spring seats will help eliminate the front nose dive when braking like the isolators?

Yes they will help, they should to the same degree, the added preload just makes it a tad stiffer and that makes it less squishy :)

I haven't bought them yet because they are 3x the price, but I see no reason they shouldn't behave exactly the same

Makes total sense. I'll check out the isolators. Thanks for all the info KROG! And thanks for the comparison of the Pro & Baja suspensions.

^This. My front doesn't nose-dive significantly and the ride is a bit more firm (in a good way). When I ordered mine, I just had Wheelers acquire them from TOYTEC and they shipped with my progressive AAL. I think I paid around $150 for the spring seats by going through Wheelers.

Just throwing this out there to you guys discussing the leaf packs......on my last Tacoma, 13 dbl cab longbed. I had installed a DAKAR leaf pack. It gave it a 2&3/4 lift. I liked it a lot, it felt great, and I was overall pleased with it. I just don't believe I seen you guys mention these and wanted to throw this out there since I can personally say I used them.

I think wheelers is only like a guy and his wife? Either way they can be kind of slow on the eemail. They have been good to work with over all, try calling.

They just don't come with bushings. I didn't go with polyurethane because I heard they'd sqeek. I ended up going with Toyota oem.

I have Dakar's on my FJ40...very happy with them...good quality and nice ride. I assume this would apply to all the Dakar series springs.

I just got back from my Baja's first camping/scouting trip in the mountains. The truck did great. The only thing I need to do sooner than later is go to a mud terrain tire. There were a few times I lost traction in the mud with the All-terrains. After 10 years with a jeep with mud tires I'm not used to losing traction in mud. As mentioned above, the rear springs are an issue. Seems like after a couple hundred pounds my truck acts like a beat dog with his a#s in the ground. May need to do an AAL when I get new tires. The fold-a-cover worked real well. Rained real hard for about 3 hours and only a small amount of water in the bed. Looking forward to more trips in the woods with my new hunt'no rig.
