Yup, I went up the right side there. Had to go nice and slow since I don't have my sliders yet. I ended up probably farther than I needed to be on the uphill side just before you come to the top, which exacerbated the off camber angle.

Played around with the atrac and locker some too. The atrac is pretty sweet. Breezed right up the rock garden in the sand pit.

My dog got two when we first moved in. There was much thicker brush in the backyard and the dog got the trapped. Looks like mom came back for the little ones though. It's definitely not how I left it last night so I'm not messing with it anymore.
Hell, I could make it up that in 2wd with my super long wheelbase, no sweat! My kind of off roading.

Haha you could probably drive a car up out now, besides the fact the road is made of like 8"+ trap rock

Ok Mike, someones asking me about lifting a 09 F150. Looks like f150lifts.com is the same as toytec. Billy's are available right? How about the new 6100 series? What about the rear? Blocks seems most popular but for AAL's it only seems like Pro Comp, Tuff Country and Fat Bob's are the fav's. What do you recommend?

The main vibration that is common with the truck is 100% gone. I'm not 100% sure if I've got something new from the CB or not. I made a thread about it here:

    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads...nly-in-accelerator-pedal-tacoma-quirk.379742/

I'm not stressing it really at this point.

When I bought my STi, it was still the Evo IX which I liked more aesthetically on the outside but ultimately didn't even check out. The interior was absolutely garbage when I saw it at the auto show the year prior and I was reading lots of people having issues with the clutch.

I like the Evo X, but like you said, there's absolutely no dealer network left. A friend's sister just bought one and it was like 35 grand and wasn't even the high end model.

I don't know if I'd buy a new STi over the WRX. It's SO pricey for what it is and still uses the same motor as I have in mine. 300 HP was impressive in 2006 when most cars weren't at the 300 HP mark, but now, 10 years later it's not impressive at all. The EJ257 is a trouble prone motor, especially with the current tune they need to run to get it past the EPA regulations. They changed the tune in 2007 and there was a marked increase in ringland failures in the motor. Running stoich up to 4,000 RPM regardless of throttle position is terrifying.

The new WRX runs the FA motor and I haven't heard a ton about them but it's at least newer technology. They also finally threw a 6MT into the WRX, which although I know isn't the bulletproof STi 6MT, it's better than the 5MT they used to run.

Once they put a new motor in the STi and bump the power, I'd think it'd be back in the running.

That being said, I don't know if I'd even want a car that fast anymore. Maybe it's a sign of age, but it's almost not all that fun to drive it on some level, which may sound weird. I was actually talking to Billy about this a few weekends ago. If I go WOT in my car in say 2nd and 3rd gear, on anything but the highway, I'm WAY over the limit. Back when I had my Accord with 125 HP of fury, i could go WOT everywhere if I wanted to. The fun thing about that was car was that ith adjustable suspension and wide, sticky tires, it was glued to the road.

If Scion / Subaru made the FR-S / BRZ in a targa, I'd be VERY tempted to trade in my STi.

On a side note, I'm done with work until 7/13. Woo! Enjoying cookouts this weekend and then I'm off to Aruba on 7/6. Rented a Jeep for two days so I'll get to explore the island again. there's some fun areas you can only reach with 4WD.

I hope you're not asking me! I have no plans to lift this truck. I'm a member on an F150 forum though and adjustable billies are a very popular front option. I don't know the increments though. Blocks seem to be popular for the rear. If it were me, I'd try to find an AAL like the Icon 3 leaf for the rear. Another popular option seems to be a Raptor swap for the rear shocks. I don't think the front is a direct swap. Check out ruggedT's build, I think he went full Icon for his lift.

Mike, yeah I was talking to you. I figured that since you had a truck you would have at least read up on the lifts. Seems like the lifts available kind of suck.

My company gave us 2 choices. Work Friday and get a floating paid holiday any day within the next 90 days. Or take it off and not get paid....none of my accounts are open so I will be kicking back watching some Netflix at work tomorrow.

I read up a little, I was more focused on a Raptor swap, wanted to see if it was a direct swap. Ended up finding out that the rear shocks are a great option, the rest really isn't worth it. If your friend gets serious about lifting, have m check out TAP auto parts. They are a vendor on here and also on a couple Ford forums. They regularly have sales on higher end suspension parts (King, Fox, Icon, etc). It's still pricey but he'll end up with a really nice setup.

This truck will be mostly cosmetic or functional mods. I might tune it down the road but that's still up in the air. Right now, I'm eye balling a set of King Ranch wheels and tires that are pretty cheap. They would look awesome if I plasti dipped them the color of the side steps.
Congrats! Yesterday was Friday for me, nice to have a few days off.

I guess I can't complain too much; I've got tomorrow off. And Saturday. And Sunday.
If I was still working at a shop I'd probably be working all three days (assistant managers got the bitch shifts)

I actually read that three times just to be sure, because I just couldn't believe it.
