I'm restoring a 95.5 tacoma and the frame has bad rust holes. I am looking for a salvage piece of the rear part of the frame and I was wondering if all first gens have the same frame or if I am going to run into issues with the bed lining up and misc things not fitting right. Before anyone attacks on safety concerns, it will be welded together professionally by a friend who is certified. Thanks in advance!

I "think" the only differences is in the 4wd vs 2wd and single cab vs ext or dbl cab frames because of different mounting points, not sure if the year matters from 96-04

the only difference may be the rear spring mounting points (95-97 had shorter leafs). other than than should be close. take a tape measure and head to the donor to make sure.

Anyone know if there's a difference between m/t (donor) and a/t (mine) frames?

I would think the only difference there would be a mount for the clutch MC but I doubt there is any difference in the frames unless this mount is welded to the frame (I'm not familiar with manual tranny) but if had anything welded to the frame it would just mean you have an extra frame mounting bracket you just don't use.
