so I have retrofitted headlights with all TRS component (mini h1 6.0) , with motocontrol harness and denso ballasts.

Going strong for a year and half never had any issue. then driving home today i noticed the front signal light in the gauge was blinking rapidly. So i pulled over and sure enough the front turn signal was on but would not blink. The rear was working fine. I turned the hazards on and same thing, the front driver side was not blinking.

I checked every possible fuses (engine bay fuses and right under the steering wheel area) including the wire harness fuse and they are all good.
Vehicle is a 2013 tacoma. All turn signal bulbs are factory except for the cree reverse lights which I've had for about a year now.

could this issue be caused by a bad relay harness?

right now its back to normal again. I have set up an appointment at the dealership for Wednesday since truck is still under warranty. I just hate for them to just say "can't help you , you have aftermarket lights etc etc"

My experience has been that rapid blinking of the dash turn signal indicator means you have either a bad bulb or perhaps a bulb that has become loose...check all on driver side.

I checked all the bulbs front and back and everything works. I will call the dealer and set up a warranty repair I guess

finally took it to the dealership yesterday. When I was leaving work , I noticed my left turn signal was blinking rapidly again. That bulb is off under the DRL mode, is just steady when the hazards are on and off when the signal is turned on.

all i can think of is bad flasher relay.

Anyone run into this kind of problem?

Ever get a fix on this? I have the same symptom: left turn flashes quickly, but doesn't flash on the actual bulb. replaced bulbs, and same problem. I also replaced my battery since it died. I am thinking/hoping the battery drain is related to the drl for the sake of solving this.

I went back, and made sure the bulbs were seated properly. of course, the left one was NOT seated. issue fixed.
