Nah, I'm all about functionality, and the function of the hood scoop is to look good.

If by Knight Rider you mean WHITE LED spots and floods, I considered it for about two seconds, not my taste. Considered the ventilation/cold air mod for about three seconds, too ineffective. Decided I had more important things to attend to, so I moved on to the tailgate.

Nice truck! Did you consider trying any of the glass cooktop cleaners on your glass, it's basically a very fine aggregate rubbing compound.

No I didn't. I tried stoners glass polish that claims to have an abrasive non scratching compound. Wasn't working so I said f it and tried the compound with OOOO steel wool. left fine scratch marks in the test area. Definitely got the spots off with the combo but scratches the glass. :frusty:

Also a new single edge razor blade. Also try Bon Ami. Clay doesn't do much for water spots. After you do finally get it clean use some Aquapel to stop the spots from acculating so quickly. Zaino also makes a glass cleaner that works pretty good. Z-12 Glass Polish. If you use a buffer it's easier if you take off the wipers and also remove the black cowling. Even if you do it by hand it good to take the cowling off since there's a lot of dusty residue you want to wash off.

I'm pretty obsessive about music I listen to in my truck; tend to cycle thru my library in small quantities, wearing out twenty tunes before moving on to the next twenty. Been trying to get the Bluetooth function to work properly, to play all the songs on my iPhone, but it skips over some (maybe 10%). I see the skipped songs are recognized, because they pop up for a second on the navigation screen before disappearing when the next song starts up. Also can only get some album art work to appear, the rest have some generic genre image instead, and the genre shown is often incorrect. Guess I'll have to break down and read the manual.

Not into too much bling, so I'm on my third attempt at a DIY SSM color match on my Toyota grill badge. As someone else somewhere here on TW has said, I've already spent more than it would have cost to get an auto body shop to do it once. Bought a perfect 1D6 variant to match my paint in an aerosol from an automotive paint supplier, but my clear coat keeps wrinkling in a spot or two. But at this point it's just the principle of the thing, I'm GOING to get it right, "not immediately, but definitely".

This is the best product I have found for removing acid rain and hard water spots from glass. I had tried allot of things but this is the only thing that worked for me. Does not damage or scratch the glass.

I got it from Amazon, I was working out in California and saw a County crew cleaning their fleet truck windows with it and was really impressed. Bought some and used it on my windows which were spotted up pretty good and it cleaned them right up.

Thanks will give it a try. The truck was originally from NJ Is the rain there acidic up there or could it be from road salt residue.

My Tacoma was originally from California so my spots were probably more acidic.

I found this discussed in another thread. Apparently Bluetooth doesn't support album art (at least not literally linked to your source library), and an iPhone update to iOS 8.4 took care of the skipped songs. Copied my library to flash drive to leave plugged into the console USB port. Now can access all songs with original album art. Didn't like talking on phone via Bluetooth connection anyway, so Saul Goodman.

Wish Breaking Bad was still on.

Who has time to stand around and stare at a truck?
If you do, your kids are raised, your masters degree is complete, and there is no work to be done! I congratulate you!
If not, stop starring at your truck and get to work. America!

I'm probably one of the most OCD members on here (as most know). I swore when I bought this truck all I was going to do was swap the wheels and tires off my 2011 and that was it.

This was the first time sitting in the driveway

The condition of my OCD. And yes.... I take it off road often.

I've got a job, degree, 10 year old daughter, wife, house, and a cat. Still manage to get my work done and also have fun with the truck. 22 years as a Professional Firefighter, Paramedic, Haz Mat Chem Tech. Don't think I've got much to prove ;)

    My truck is my therapy
