Have a feeling your going to want to re-gear after a while,
I have read 4.88s work wonderful in 4cyl Tacos, might as well save a little more for a locker of sorts.

Lift, armor and such. Money pit, check out the build thread...
I'm on 33's with a 3 inch lift and I would say it's doable for a while. I have a 30 min commute in which I gain about 2000 ft in elevation each day. It does give the transmission a workout, so you just have to be a little patient at times. I will definitely be upgrading to 4.88s as soon as I can though.

I'm planning 4.56 this winter with a locker in the rear. I've been putting it off because of the expense, but it's needed. 4.56 should give a final ratio slightly lower than original, so it should work for both highway and offroad.

My plan is 4.88 air lockers front and rear, just don't know if I can tackle it myself or have to pay to have it done. Still want the URD SC but hoping gears will delay, if not remove my perceived "need" for the SC. I have a set of LCE headers sitting in the garage waiting for wrench time.

2.7 Auto w/ 235/85/16 on stock steelies ATM. Adequate grunt for day to day needs but still want the gears/lockers.

I'm running 265/70-17 but am in a regular cab with a manual transmission. It's somewhat of a pig on hills between 50-70mph. Offroad is just fine but a taller gear would be nice. You'll be okay for a while but eventually you'll want to regear.
