I just picked up my brand new Tacoma Limited in Metallic Gray. I have only put 75 miles on it and have noticed when going over a medium sized bump (seems to be only when turning) that there is a clunk coming from the left front. In researching I found out that this can be caused from worn CV joint but this truck only has 75 miles!

    What else could it be?

    TIA

If it's doing it on a hear turn going into a dip is probably the steering stops contacting the lower control arm. It's definitely not the CV joints.

I have heard it in both forward and reverse while going over a bump about the size of a curb (3-4 inches).

Turning left and going over a bump?

My guess it's our front mud flaps hitting the ground.

Yeah if it's pretty loud that probably what it is the older ones sounded like the entire front end was about to fall out when they contacted the steering stops.

I had the identical problem on my 2015

Turns out the front body mounts were loose, especially the front passenger side.

Toyota threw it on the hoist and had it fixed in 20 mins, no appointment.

    It was driving me NUTS
