    Howdy or Aloha all,

I've been doing my research on getting the best price (Least acceptable Settlement) on a 2015 Tacoma 4wd V6.

I'm aiming for for a deal based on Invoice, plus Delivery, plus the Advertising charge, less any advertised or hidden Rebates (I+D+A-R). I hear 3% above invoice would be a great deal.

One major drawback on the Big Island of Hawaii is that there's only one Toyota dealership with two offices (Hilo and Kona), so you can't get a competitor's counter offer. It looks like the factory invoice (via true car) is $27,645 without options, and the national average price being paid is $28,574.

The dealer's "deal" on their website is $31,755. Are there any experienced buyers out there with strategies given this scenario of buying a Tacoma on a rock out in the Pacific?

    Mahalo!

Your gonna have a tough time leveraging a deal with those facts. My guess is they want to move the 2015's off the lot for the new 2016's. Research how long the truck has been on the lot, if possible, they want inventory moving. I'd say buy when its raining because less product sells during that time, but where you're at it probably rains every hour...

Try your best, don't be afraid to ask for a lower price. Have a reasonable number set in your head and walk if you have to... I think you can work it down $500-$600. I'd be surprised if they move more than that on price so if they do jump on it.

Maybe say something like, "I'm willing to pay $30,000 even, you guys are asking $31,775. I don't want to haggle back and forth and since the difference is only $1775, lets just split the baby on the difference and move forward. Its a deal if you guys will do it at $30,887.50" If they say no...ask what they can do for you then...my guess is they will probably knock it down about $500...Worth a shot.

    Keep us posted...
