OK I have searched and browsed and decided on a generic thread, on your opinions of the best ways to wire through the firewall to run a switch into the cab.

I am putting LEDs on my grill guard, and have an 09 Access Cab.

Where do you guys think the best access point is?

    Could you please post pictures?

    X3.

Years ago, I used to install hardwired cell phones in vehicles (yeah that long ago), and for our battery feed, I would use a small piece fish tape (a piece of flat wire used to fish wire through walls), with the wire taped to it and poke through the side of the rubber grommet. The idea is the fish tape has a somewhat of a sharp end, would poke through the rubber making a hole slightly smaller than the wire it itself. As you pull the wire through, it would still have a nice tight seal. Just be careful not to poke into anything on the main harness.

Drilled and put weatherproof grommet at about 1 oclock to the main harness by the brake booster.
