Looking for any help someone can provide on my 96 Tacoma Fuel Tank. I am replacing the straps. Are the straps the only part that hold it onto the frame. Are there any bolts in addition to the straps?

    Thanks

    Canada, just south of Santa
    Vehicle:
    98 tacoma 4x4 extended cab
5100's all around, 2.75 inch lift, polyurethane body mounts, gibson exhaust, variation of the deckplate mod, intake resonators removed 285-75-16 goodyear AT
On my 98 there is a strap at the back and a bracket at the front. I know that some had 2 straps, I think it depends on the model mine is an extanded cab 4x4 so the skid bolts to the same bracket at the front as the tank does and fastens to 2 clips on the rear strap. My rear strap just rusted thru and nearly ripped off the rusty front bracket so I have a bit of work to do. So check everything carefully for rust.

Yeah, my front strap rusted out. I have a bracket but that is for the skid plate , I believe.
Thanks for the reply. I will check it out again.
