I have a 1998 toyota tacoma sr5 ex cab 4x4 auto. The rear leaf springs on it were tampered with (someone heated and flipped and took some things off ) before I bought it. Now, I've went to toyota dealerships and asked around and no one can tell me. Does it need 3 leaf, 4 leaf with caster wedge, or 4 leaf without caster wedge. No one has been able to help so far. Please help lol 4x4jim

A stock pack is 3-leaf plus overload (no 'caster wedge'). Plenty of photos on this site, if you search for it.

Just how do you use your truck ??

Haul lots of loads in the 500 pound plus range or just sail plane fuel??

That is what I would figure what springs to go with.

Well I really just want to take it back stock, and seem to be having trouble getting a clear answer by dealerships etc. Whether it is 4 leaf, with or without caster wedge, etc. I will be pulling a bass boat, lawnmower trailer, atvs. Etc. So nothing crazy, but just want a well educated opinion on how I should go about it. Thanks for your replies.
