That would be the cheapest way to go and still have good value for what you've done.

I'd also add to that do the work yourself so you can afford an AAL for the rear and OME or Eibach coils for the front to get a good lifted look.

 

Ugh. Don't put on a cheap set of steps and bumper. You'll like them for 6 months and end up throwing them out after that because they start to feel ghetto. That's what I ended up doing. My steps and bull bar are still sitting in the garage. The look got old fast.

As for tires I'd wait until you lift if you are going to lift. Then you can stuff something a little bigger in there if you really want a great offroad look either for realz or for mallz.

Depends on how much work you are willing to put into trimming or how much you are willing to spend on rims.

5100's and a AAL, 285/75/16 Federal MT's, dip all chrome, color matched grille, BHLM

 

Bilstein/OME lift and some meaty tires would put you around $1500 ish. Then BHLM and plasti dip...done

 

If you don't want to trim for 33s, 255/85s are a nice size. But only some manufactors make them

 

Why is everyone so obsessed with plasti-dipping wheels? You can get a much better, more professional looking job using self etching primer, spray paint, and clear coat. The paint will be far more durable. And before anyone says "Wait! You can retouch plastidip!". You can repaint wheels too.

 

Not super easy to remove spray paint...plasti dip is...

 

Sooo... people plasti-dip their wheels, yielding a lower durability, lower aesthetic appeal, so they can remove paint? With that logic Toyota should of just plasti-dipped the whole damn truck so I could change the color weekly.

One reason it's so popular is the utter lack of skill required to do it. There isn't that, I have one shot, feel.

 

Why should people spray paint their wheels if they can plastidip them incase later they decide they don't like black wheels?

OP, If I were you Id get some bigger tires and a bilstein/Eibach combo for a lift.
