Used Airbags, good idea?

Hey TW,

I'm looking at picking up some used Firestone airbags and wanted to get your opinion on whether it's a good idea or not to buy them used. The current owner says he's had them for a little over a year has not had any issues with them, he just decided to upgrade the rear suspension. They look to be in pretty good shape but I was wondering if there is anything in particular I should look for (other than not leaking air)? Also, it's the complete kit he's asking $140, think that's about right?

Not sure how much new ones are. But EVERYTIME I have bought something like that used I ended up having more in it than if I just bought it new because I had to go buy other associated parts.

 

Thanks for the advice, and I know what you mean, I have definitely run into that in the past, thinking I'm getting a great deal then end up spending more than it would have been new. The best I could find online was about $280. They look to be complete though and in good shape.
