    Installed intermittent wipers
I just replaced the standard wiper switch in my 2011 Tacoma 4x4, base model quad-cab, with an intermittent switch following the excellent write up on this site. I bought the switch from Toyota onlineparts.com for $119.92 inc. shipping. (Part no. 84652-02710) It works great! Wish I would have done it sooner.
I did find that the "strong" tab holding the switch in place was a little difficult to release, as I couldn't get much leverage to push the tab (male part of the clip) down. I found it easier to use a small screwdriver and lift up the female part of the clip from one corner.
Like others on this site, I also was told by my local Toyota dealers that this upgrade was not possible.

It was one of the best mods I've done almost a year ago. The wiper stalk I used was actually from a Prius but it's the same and they're interchangeable. Bought it from a guy on here for like $40.
