Beautiful job, Ayatollah. No, not wet sanding. I'll try that next. Thanks for guidance.

I would love to do that as a homecoming surprise :)! We buy that 303 stuff by the gallon and he has me use it on almost all of the inside and trunk places. I think he would absolutely go off if I were able to do make the bottom part of the truck look like yours.

If I already did an after winter heavy duty spray cleaner on the trucks bottom parts, do you think it would still take as long? Also, I wouldn't be changing oils or tires or any of that other stuff. As long as nothing is hot I can't hurt myself or the truck being under there can I?

You got it  I'd start at 1500 then either 2500 or 3000 grit.
How are you not wife of the year?

Cause there is no one home to vote for me :(. It really wouldn't be a big deal especially if it would make him happy and that WOULD make him happy. I can show him the trucks buttom before I have to show him where some ding dong bumped the rear bumper and hurt the paint in one small place :(.

So can I hurt myself or the truck if I do it?

Before you get under the truck, put it in Park, and set the emergency brake. If you have to park on an incline, you could even chock a couple wheels. Most people don't bother with all that, but you ought to be more concerned with being crushed than burnin' yourself on anything (wait till the truck cools down anyway). I always have my keys in my pocket when I'm under my truck, so there's no way anyone can get in, start it and rollover me if I'm drunk or asleep. Hey, don't laugh, it could happen.

You could also pick up a pair of these for some more clearance while under there as long as you chock the back wheel.

My cat's so bad, she literally wears a spiked bulldog collar we found for her once in the East Village. She draws blood every time I try to give her a bath.

Soak it in petrol and set it on fire

Took your advice Tashcomer, and wet sanded with super fine grit between the SSM color coat and clear coat to eliminate the orange peel. Came out smooth and shiny as glass. The picture doesn't do it justice, but you can see my reflection in the finish. I wonder why WET sanding makes a difference. I know the sandpaper doesn't clog when wet; maybe also the paint being sanded doesn't heat up from friction, soften and roll up on a microscopic level making the surface irregular. Anyway, your suggestion enabled me to finish the tiny mod to my satisfaction.

I am literally insane when it comes to my one car in particular, my truck Im a little more normal about as its my dd. But my car is little bit embarrassing how ocd and how much time and energy and money I spend working, cleaning, sweating, bleeding, thinking, and flat out staring over it. I'm a pacer/wonderer when I'm seriously thinking about shit or talking on the phone ect. Need to keep moving for it to work right in my brain. When I used to drink I'd move cars around so mine would be the only one in the garage and I could pace around and plan shit while I get drunk. It was like freakin therapy.

    Messed up I know

Cleaning a vehicle takes me about less then a half hour to do a good job. I spend 2and a half days cleaning my car and it is always spotless anyway, I barely put 3k miles on it a year. If it's not in my garage it doesn't leave my sight. I park it where I can always see it, I can't take it to run normal errends. If we go out to eat you better fucking eat everything because Ill blow a fuse if you even think about bringing food in it.
I have another one exactly the same just because I don't know and neither does anyone else, I have enough shit in my basement to compleatly build a 3rd one with plenty of shit left over.

No it's not a Ferrari its a $8k at best 14 year old sedan. I have issues
