    Here we go again!!!

So, I tore my cv boot on my last trip and would like to get a replacement axle. I will be keeping my oem axle as a spare after I reboot. I'm just not sure which place I should get the replacement from.

I tore my cv boot a few weeks ago.. needed it fixed quick so I got a replacement at Advanced Auto Parts.. not sure how it will last, but it held up on my last offroad trip and i have since had no problems

Are you an avid 4 wheeler where you routinely try to get stuck...generally beat the shit out of your truck on a regular basis?

If no, you won't miss spending the long dollar for OEM. Any of the local auto parts store assemblies will work just fine.

I always clip the inner clamp, it allows the boot to slide in and out during extreme turning and articulation. The loss of CV joint grease is minimal.

I use the truck only for off-road trips and outdoor adventures. Sounds like OEM rebuild might be best.
