When do you think this will be. An email from my dealer led me to believe around July 15th. Of course looking back through emails I can't confirm that date.

Last contact was a few weeks ago and he seems to let me know pretty quickly. I hate to bug him again. These sheets got me all excited though.

It stands for Active-TRAC. I don't know what TRAC means, but it is Toyotas traction control system. ATRAC gives you traction control in 4-LO. If you don't have ATRAC then when you switch into 4-LO you've got open diffs.

You can do the yellow wire mod on some (all?) models to get TRAC to operate in 4-LO but it doesn't work as well as ATRAC because TRAC needs to detect a much higher amount of wheel speed difference to activate. TRAC uses the vacuum booster to activate the brakes instead of the electric hydraulic booster system that comes with ATRAC, probably also contributing to it's reduced responsiveness.

Looks like in Canada that we will have to get the Sport in order to get the DCLB and automatic only in the longbox again.

Have fun with cheap electronics. I had two Totally Integrated Power Modules fail in less than 40,000 miles and it's the reason I gave up on Chrysler. Chrysler has used this poorly designed piece of electronics since MY 2007 in every vehicle and it is starting to turn into a major problem.

Yeah i had a 2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited w/ 4x4 v8. Nice car, except for the transmission failing after 20,000 miles.

The V8 didn't really up the towing capacity all that much. I think the capacity for the Colorado 5.3 was only 6,000 lbs. Remember, most of the towing is based on things like frame strength, suspension, brakes etc. Your motor just dictates how fast/slow you will go pulling that load.

According from the tech team of 2016 they are sticking bigger diff in the off road and sport will have the smaller diff.

Towing Capacity is influenced by power output in both forms, brake power, and suspension
