anyone have any experience with go pro and/or polaroid cube?

battery life on cube is 90 minutes vs go pros 15 mins.

I figured this is a huge advantage, especially since its $150

Where have you heard go pro is 15 minutes? I own a couple of different GoPros and get about 90 minutes on each of them when shooting 1080p. With the extended battery its about an hour more.

Yea that's from a guy trying to sell it. GoPro wouldn't be around today if their batteries lasted 15 minutes. Check out this video to see how long they last https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QIkuH8kij4w

tldw: depending on the version it goes anywhere from 1h 30m to 2h 10m on one standard battery.

Even though GoPros are expensive they are well worth it imo

The OP isn't talking about the GoPro line we are all familiar with. The GoPro he's referring to is the new GoPro Hero4 Session which is GoPro's newest camera. So, he's asking for an opinion of the GoPro Hero4 Session versus the Polaroid Cube.

Yours dies that fast? What settings are you using it at.

To the OP the GoPro session is way over priced for what it is. There are better options out there that are cheaper.

The GoPros I run on the Race truck usually last 3+ hours with the battery bacpack, wifi off and shooting in 1080p30f. You just have to know what youre doing with them

I have 2 gopro 3+ silver's both get 1-1/2 hours without bacpack, 1080p 30fps. My only con, they get hot as shit. I would not go with the session or the cube, just get a 4 silver for the same price. You get 2.7k at 30fps, and that's plenty for any screen the average jo is going to have.
