Hey everyone! Hope everyone is doing well this evening. Quick question, I have a fully stock Taco with 265/65/17 tires with stock rims. I am looking at purchasing some Nitto Trail Grappler tires tonight but my question is will these fit on my stock Taco wheels? The tires I am getting are 265/70/R17 Nitto Trail Grappler. Will these fit? Looking forward to you all responses.:confused:

I'm new to all the back spacing on toyotas. I would call up discount tire or the company your buying the rims from And ask.

Being bone stock, you want the +12 offset. Keep in mind though you are still gaining an inch of width over your stock wheel. The majority of that width will be on the outside of the rim making the the wheel/tire package come out of the wheel well more. You will also gain about an inch in overall diameter with the 70-series tire. Check your speedo error.

Thanks for the advice. I will wait to hear more from TW members then decide which route I will be going. Since I am making an investment, I wanna make sure I don't wanna get stuck with wheels that are going to be rubbing or have to do any modifications like lifting the truck. I appreciate your response

Nothing yet. Old truck had the works.
I have method nv305s 17x8.5. Not sure the offset but it has a 4.75 inch backspacing. Prelift fully flexed out i would have ZERO rubbing once i took the mud flaps off. That is all that rubbed was the mud flaps.

You would be absolutely fine with A Similar size rim and 265/70/17 or if you keep stock rims just get 1.25 inch wheel spacers.

So I got a response back from seller and this was his response. Please let me know what your thoughts are. I am trying to get this whole offset BS issue situated before I make an investment. I don't wanna be stuck with wheels that are going to rub or look bad. seems like he is recommending the +12 offset 5.5 BS. What are you guys thoughts?

    Dear babyrf,

These wheels will bolt right up and fit your tires well. The +12mm offset is just slightly lower than your stock wheels, so they'll push out about 3/4" further than your stock wheels with this wider wheel. The tires are DOT approved for a 9" wide wheel, so they'll mount right up. Here are the recommended lugs for proper installation:
