    Hi there everyone,
I'm a noob here. I'm trying to figure out who make the highest(higher than cab height) fiberglass shell for a DCSB 2nd Gen Tacoma. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Picking up my Snugtop Rebel tomorrow. Got it with Yakima tracks, electric Pro Lock, fold down window, and carpeted head liner. Almost exactly 4 weeks since ordering.

Several weeks ago I read someone asking about replacement gas pistons for their Snugtop Sport...can't find it, so I'll just add to this whole group of posts: Bought my '06 Access cab new, put the Snugtop Sport and bed slider onboard shortly after. All you Snugtop Sport owners that are doing maintenance on your cap - the replacement gas pistons for the rear window are Suspa C16-09209 38 pound pressure units...fit correctly.

I need to post a pic of the Taco: Snugtop w// Yakima tracks and 58" cross bars...haul two Tempest 165 kayaks. The two hybrid bikes ride in the Yakima Raptor Aero racks.

within 5 minutes after getting home with the new cap I was pulling the screens. Dogs would have ripped them anyway and now they can stick their heads out the window! If anyone wants them, cover the postage and I'll send them your way (Leer 100R with standard slider windows)

Glad I browsed this thread... Well at least the last 10 of 157 pages anyway. I want a topper, have yet to see one on Craigslist. Interesting to see the ARE issues. No Snugtop locally, dealer suggested Jason, but closest is at least an hour away. Have Leer and ARE dealers locally, but haven't been there yet. Had hoped to find some deals at the Sport/boat/RV show, but there was not one! Only a few tonneau covers.

Anyway, thanks for the feedback I've seen! My only real shopping priorities are screened windows, don't need to be "pet screens", front slider. Heck I'd drive a few hundred miles for the right used deal.

Picked up my Snugtop Rebel today. Very impressed so far. No effect on MPG either. The electric pro lock is an awesome upgrade.

Thanks bro. It needed quite a bit for work when I picked it up but considering it was made in 1987 and was only cost me around $700 I can't complain. Still has some leaks that I need to figure out how to fix on the cab side. Camping has really improved since I got it.

I wish they still made Wildernests...

Funny thing, when they did make them I wasn't interested in one.

$700 - you got a killer deal. I'm sure all the work you put in it was worth it.

Has anyone put together a screen to cover the door opening? I'd like to do something to allow the glass to be up while sleeping in there, but not allow bugs to get in.

A magnetic strip along the bottom would allow it to stick to the tailgate, but I'm not sure how to attach it to the fiberglass.

You could also just hang bug netting from the popped shell.
