    Hello,

First in advance I apologize if I am posting this in the wrong thread.

There's a guy that imported this Tacoma to Mexico, where I currently live. There is no way of buying a 4 cylinder Tacoma in Mexico, as they do not bring them here, so the only option is to buy old and used. With the current law, anything before 2007.

I checked with Carfax and the truck seems fine, except for the vast amount of miles it has on it. (243,472). Then, the owner used it for a year or so in Mexico and is selling it now, currently it has ~307,908 miles.

I know a person that owns a 98 Access Tacoma and it has around that mileage and it still runs aside from stupid things here and there. This looks way better and overall its in better shape, but has way more mileage for its production year.

Honestly, for the experts out there, do you recommend this truck? Is it a bad choice? I am concerned of the mileage, I am not savvy enough to say if it will require big $ in repairs or something else soon?

    Thoughts?

That's a boatload of miles and anything but a Taco I might be wary.

Personally if everything else checked out and the price was good, it should be for that many miles, than buy it.

In my opinion, the truck would perform decent for the amount of mileage acumulated. Just to forwarn, you'll most likely want to invest in new shocks and coils that is if they haven't been replaced. May even want to look at new leaf packs if you plan on hauling/towing frequently.
