This is why all the long travel guys that have 20 grand into suspension run dual shocks if you knew anything about suspension you'd understand why btw nice job keeping your mouth shut I can't do that much these days with the geniuses of this generation:smack:

Airdog knows what's up @Taco Suave

I need to get the rear dialed in as well. Still playing with the valving. Its just a bit more difficult because too stiff and the rear end will pack up on the washboards, too soft and it will buck like no other.

The only difference between my setup and his is he runs adjustable on the fly bypasses and I run smoothies that require teardown if the valving isn't correct. And airbumps. :D

Are they hydraulic bumps with valving in the rear? If so have you tried messing the gas pressure and valving in those?

I have. They used to be adjusted to 290 back when I was using the single coilover. 290/290 coilover/ air bump. Now the prssures are adjusted to I believe 200 SAW coilover/ 150 air bump/ 200 Fox shock. Performs beautifully.

Yep. Just confirmed it off my build thread. Order of pressures from front to rear 200/150/200

Valving on the air bumps are equal to 15/15. The valving on them are perfect.

Air bumps on stock arms would be the equal to a jack hammer due to how their area of strike is narrower then a standard bump stop and would eventually fold the arms in half if the eyelets at the mounting points of the frame don't give out eventually.

You going to gusset those spindles/buckets?

Why the hell would I gusset the buckets? It's a redundant mod that does absolutely nothing to prevent the buckets from being pushed inwards towards each other on the frame.

I am going to be swapping out the spindles for some gusseted ones here within the next month for sure though.

    Still limits lateral movement.

My next is secondary hoops, 'engine crossbar/cage' and gusset the motor mounts.

The thing is, you could gusset that area all you want but you arent stopping the problem at the source, the coil buckets under full stuff instances want to push in towards each other because there is a lack of bracing above the buckets. There is a cross member below but not one above. The problem is not the buckets its the frame itself. Secondary shocks and hoops help a lot to disperse the load but the brace is still necessary if yiu want to limit flex as much as possible. I will be doing a cross member brace next month, a battery relocate, and a radiator support reinforcement as well as the spindle replacement which has the gussets on them. That should eliminate all unwanted flex issues and nip the problem right at the bud.
