I have a 2006 Tacoma that was bought used with 28,000 miles. I started to notice a growl back last summer, but Goodyear Tire Service found no problem so I had them replace the tires back in Feb. of this year and expected the growl to disappear, but it is as loud as ever. It does disappear when making a right turn, but is really noticeable at highway speeds. It has 110,000 miles now. We have had it serviced at our local Toyota dealer but the growl is still with me! Any ideas?

Just a guess here, with so little information to go on , but it could be a bad wheel bearing.

When they go bad, they usually generate more friction, and thereby generate a lot of heat. After a longish drive, say 20 miles or more, put your hand on each wheel, and see if one of them is hotter than the others.

Welcome to TW!I'm going to agree with tan4X4(Rick).With what your explaining OP its exactly what was going on with my neighbors Chevy. It ended up being bad wheel bearings.
