So I have Moto Metal 951 in black. I kinda want a satin finish instead of the glossy look they have now so I'm looking for opinions on how to get the look? I know I could derp them but not sure how well that will hold up on wheels. But I don't want to ruin them and I'm afraid of painting them because I'm afraid they'll end up looking like crap over time. At least with pleasing dip they can be easily touched up. But would rather have a more permenent solution. Anyway I was hoping maybe someone else has experience doing this. And I don't have or want to spend a lot to do this. Thanks.

Sounds like derp is your best option...although I don't understand why they would look bad if you actually painted them. If you sand/prime and do a nice job with some quality paint it should hold up just fine. Furthermore, with the paint, touch ups would be a breeze.

I figured that paint or derped would get chipped or scratched when rotating or balancing.

But I had half a day off today so I got to playing around and wound up derping the center caps and just sprayed to silver fake bead locks. I like it but still my dip the whole wheels eventually. Also dipped the lower valance on the front bumper.
