Been gutting my interior for sound matting and a new stereo. In looking where to route the power from the battery, i found these shoved under the fuse box. What the hell are these and where/what are the meant to plug into?

I think I saw one blank plug like that by my brake booster too connected to the wire harness. Probably something do to with an option we don't have. Maybe abs or tow package or 4x4? Idk. is yours a prerunner or?

Aha! Wait is that one thing you're talking about or two? If so I'm wondering if there's a plug not connected on mine that I'm not seeing. Possibly this vacuum solenoid you're talking about maybe causing a loss in mileage? I'd assume though that it'd throw a code if it was necessary..

Mine is a Prerunner, 2.7L auto.

I dont think i have ABS, would i be able to determine this form the door tag?

Front diff i would understand. What is this vacuum solenoid you speak of, the VSV?

One thing i have noticed about Toyotas is that they usually have one master engine harness for the entire line regardless of installed options.

should be mounted on body just behind alt with a single bolt and a tab. both plugs go into it and a few vacuum lines. the blue connector is for the add and can be unplugged as a 2lo mod. not sure what black one is for but still plugged into the same part.

    Hey, just an FYI

You should fill out your profile so that your truck year and specs show up below your avatar.

    <-----

So when you're talking about things like this, etc... people will know what year/type of truck you have to better diagnose things.

Speaking of extra plugs. When i bought the truck all I got was a single key. I have an empty hole where the "Toyota Security" panel should be next to the steering wheel. I was pulling apart the lower dash on my truck and discovered i have a fully installed RS3000 security system!!!!!

I hope its working properly, i just ordered a new microphone and key fob from ebay. Just to confirm, its the grey fob that should work with my truck (98+ model)?
