^^^^ The front bumper and rear are a tad longer but the frame dimensions are essentially the same.

Ditto. I'm actually ordering the Limited in that blue, but I want the long bed. And no snow. Definitely no snow.

Pulling the trigger, eh? Nice! Will the Limited be available in the DCLB configuration? I am really hoping it is available in pirate mica or magnetic grey metallic.

Plenty of room for those guys who like the ugly plate front bumpers.

Would really love to see a magnetic grey metallic DCLB without a hood scoop.

The 2016 Tacoma is uglier than sin. Reasons I hate the 2016 Tacoma:

    - Body lines pointing downward makes the front flare panels and rear flare panels not in sync
    - They inverted the rear tail light to angle forward on the "top" (just like an F-150) instead of the bottom (2nd gen)
    - They removed the driver's side A Pillar off-road handle. I use this handle on my 2nd gen every time I'm on a upward slope to get back in the car while off-roading.
    - They put in a center console (Honda Civic Style) E-Brake
    - They got rid of the cool/sporty looking circular windows for Odometer, Gas Gauge, Heat Gauge, etc...and replaced it with a 1980's style flat plastic panel
    - Front Grill looks uglier than anything I've ever seen on a vehicle before in my life...ugh!
    - Front lower valance sticks out...What were they honestly thinking??? Also, it makes the lower valance look weak...as it appears there is no midline support (basically, the black plastic that stretches from one fog to the other fog.) It looks like there should be some color matching panels separating the two fog lights.
    - (Secondary) Fender Flares are too proportionally small for the truck...too skinny to be precise...it looks extremely odd
    - Again, they probably will not offer the long bed in a manual option...
    - Hood scoop looks odd sunken into the hood, but...I guess it will help not get in the way of driving sight

Things I love about the 2016 Tacoma:

    - Smaller front headlights do look pretty awesome, but damn, that grill ruined everything those had going for them
    - Sunroof
    - 6 speed instead of 4 speed auto. Also, 6 speed manual is really cool
    - 3.5 L V6 (Should get about 25 MPG)... really awesome
    - Chi Wireless Charging is pretty cool
    - Lighter weight body panels will help
    - Slightly deeper rear bed...
    - Tailgate is stronger and has a wind damper to help lesson wind resistance!!!
    - and the biggest of all...THEY BROUGHT BACK SPEEDWAY BLUE!!!

Overall...I'll keep my 2006 SWB. No thanks. My biggest suggestion to Toyota is to make a mid sized bed. Not 5ft...Not 6ft, but a 5 1/2 Ft. like the Raptor. It will look more proportional.

I've never liked how the short bed is equal to the length of the front end (Just looks weird), nor have I liked how the long bed is way too damn long in comparison to the front end. Something in the middle as an option would be much appreciated, much how the Raptor designers did it.

I don't get the fuss about the air dam. keep it on and save your money while commuting, put it in the garage when offroading or take it off altogether. It's not permanent. It's like complaining about receiving ketchup with your food order - use it or don't!!!

The blue color they've shown is called Blazing Blue Pearl, not Speedway Blue.

I know, but the color looks about the same, they just changed the name perhaps.

I don't get all the hate. I have been out of the Taco's for a bit. Doing too much commuting to justify one. But I see myself in a 2017 for sure. In the blue pearl or white. I see it as a foregone conclusion. Can't wait, 18 months feels like a very long time.

I can't wait to see what they do with the TRD PRO. I think they'll get the front grill right on the PRO. Does anyone know if the front headlights are anything more than projector halogen's? I don't see them putting Xenon's in stock.

I was going to ask the same question. I like it red, but these pictures look like orange.

I had a phase in life where 'Red' was the ticket..... 3 vehicles in a row were red over a span of 13 years. LOL

Now...I'm in a blue phase. LOL If they came out with a copper/orange metallic (like the corvettes), I might consider it!! LOL
