Quick but custom upgrade to your cloth door arm rest. This is a day project for 4 doors. It's completely worth it, if you can't stand the dirty disgusting cloth arm rests. I popped the door card off, popped the arm rest out. You will have to pry the molding out, mine was hot glued /riveted on the door card.( So on reinstallation , just fit properly and reattach the arm rest with small self driving screws and washers. Good as new. ) choose your material, I chose a pho-leather material at a hobby shop. Easy to clean, and looks awesome. Once you have the arm rest out, peel away the cloth as shown in my pics. Use it as a template for every door. Lay it on the opposite side of your material you are using and outline. Just reverse the material and outline for the opposite doors and outline. Cut material. Now, you can spray fabric adhesive on the arm rest and apply the original cloth onto the armrest , and then fit properly, then spray over the cloth and fit your material over it, or just use your new material. I chose to fit my material over the old cloth for padding. Works great. Smooth

Re-attach the armrest while watching the front side of the door to make sure its fitting properly. Button up the door card there you have it! A custom and perfect answer to that pesky little dirty armrest. I also used some interior chrome trim on the door to upgrade the style and look.

Just 3 more to go. These will go much faster, now that I know what there is to do. It's a killer upgrade, that's low budget too.

Nice work. It ties together real well with the seats.

Indeed, thank you. Yes, I couldn't do the gray cloth anymore. It bothered me.

An idea for the part number for the plastic piece? The material doesn't bother me but I may have cracked the plastic underneath it...which would be nice to replace.

There is a thead in Tacoma World somewhere here where they are fixing that with plastic weld, seems to work perfectly and hold up just fine. See if you can find the thread. East, cheap fix
