I'm wanting to paint my rims black. Has anyone ever hydro dipped their rims? How does it hold up? Let me know!

    Thanks

The hydro dip is a very thin film that is top coated with regular automotive clear coat so it is not very strong. If you just want black you should powder coat your rims, probably only $40 per rim and much more durable than paint.

Hydro dip gets a regular clearcoat so I would say it would hold up similar to automotive paint.
No experience though, just my opinion.
