Ran Little Muddy with @Flboarder and @Squeaky Penguin today.
Kind of a long drive for me, but I had never been or even heard of it so that sold it for me.

Almost right away we ran into this guy
    R9Kgo0PnEwCvzR0cpdXhvv_3HVb8LfY888huy_PQ_6a6450f7d33880c32247f1823f554ba7d4e692bf.jpg
Not the greatest picture of the little bull moose, but I didn't really want to get any closer.

If you haven't been up around winter park lately, there's a ton of beetle kill. This place is going to burn to the ground one of these days...

We ran into quite a bit of deadfall and several trees across the trail. Brett's chainsaw got a workout. Charlie tried to race him with an axe on this one.

Charlie claimed his "special watering technique" could bring back some of the dead trees. I'm skeptical.

Early mudholes. A mere hint of things to come.

Brett could use some polish on his chainsaw technique. He got the saw stuck as often as Charlie got his truck stuck.

Charlie was determined to fell a tree with his axe.

He eventually succeeded. .... kind of

Charlie isn't having any fun unless there's at least some sort of minor catastrophe.
After listening to him bitch incessantly in Moab that not enough metal was being mashed on "Metal Masher" trail, we decided to let him have his fun today.
    Here's his first mistake.

There was more wood in this mudhole than mud.
In fact, it was more wood than Chuck could chuck.
Charlie has a new TW nickname. "Woodchuck" @sean266 we're going to need you to work up something appropriate.

Brett demonstrates the value of a good snatch strap in this video.

Almost at the end of the trail, Brett was able to coax Charlie into trying out this hole.
    ICeCOYrLREti0UV7xBGyvJ2hBtyLUiE1DHE_EbYF_36f79ae2f12315534d37c5f239738e2edad02d05.jpg

Even his dog was disgusted with the mess he had made in the truck.

When we got off the trail, Charlie's check engine light came on. I was able to get these codes with my OBDII bluetooth adapter and the Torque app on my phone
    pVkvivErm4Dili3yaeiPGGt9jbT3CMH3ezl0zyUh_c1c29223546bea3bce9da1f59c47ae5a5b94c658.jpg
after clearing the codes, only bank 1 returned.
I cleared that code too before Charlie headed home and apparently the light came back on again.
Hoping it's just wet connectors or something.... any ideas @lotsoftoys @thefatkid ?

Engine oil level ok? That is a logic code, not an open or short circuit.

Wheeler lake is clear all the way. There's some big obstacles and bowling ball hill has some rough spots.

    I wouldn't take my tacoma

Afterwards, Brett and I went to check out Sidewinder since it was in the vicinity

The guardian wasn't a very good guardian seeing as how it let our dumb asses in.

The first obstacle proved to be a bit tougher though.
The approach made for some good flexing and wheel stands.

After messing around with it a bit, we figured it would take at least a front locker and maybe some 35s (the sign was right)

A small handful of select mods.
So could the mudd have gotten into the belt system on the front and caused the timing chain to stretch?

Not the few I've done... tas told me the rivets in the chain will wear and stretch a few thousands and them u add all this rivets up, ends up being significant stretch

Got those codes and it was dirty oil as my bearings crank and Pistons had eaten themselves to death. Pretty sure it was oil starvation problem, as I had one bearing spin 90 degrees

We were talking yesterday. Might swap the vvti oil control valves side to side and see if a code pops up for the other bank. Could just be an ocv
