Looking at the leaked price sheet it does not specify whether the TRD Off Road access cab (7562) comes with a manual or Automatic transmission, or both? The base price (non HG) is higher than the double cab off road manual trans (7545) by more than 500 dollars. Does this imply that there is no manual transmission option for the access cab trd?

No idea, but I wanted to point out it looks like AT's end in even #'s and the MT's end in odd numbers.

That's a good observation. I want to say that while watching a 4-runner video the Toyota guy said that it has to be an automatic for crawl control to work, but that would imply that the double cab trd off road manual trans will not have crawl control.

You would think that if that was the case that the trd access cab would still have a 6spd manual option without the crawl control feature as well. Looks like the auto trans is where it's at these days. Toyota accountants must be doing something right because everyday I learn something new about offerings or lack there of and it pushes me into a more expensive model that I didn't previously want or need. I'll still like/love the truck, but man it's going to cost me. The new average out the door Tacoma truck sale is going to be between 35-45k.

Canadian insiders say that the accesscab TRD OR MT will be available there. Toyota doesn't offer it in the USA for some reason.

The number of AC TRD OR seems to only represent about 1.5% of total production. Maybe they thought the number of vehicles falling into that category was too small to offer two different gearboxes. I want the auto so no matter to me but sucks for someone who doesn't want the 4-door.

You can get the TRD Offroad Access cab with a manual but it does not include crawl control and Multi terrain select.in Canada, not sure about the US options.

If your only gripe is the hood scoop, you can get rid of it pretty easily. Plenty of folks will trade you their non-scooped hood, you might even get some cash on top. There are a few hood trade threads for the 2nd gen trucks and it will be the same for the third gen once they're out.
